Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus was born somewhere around the year 1451, in Genoa, Italy.
To Domenico Colombo, and Susanna Fontanarossa. He had four brothers, and worked for a part of his childhood in a workshop. In 1470 him and his family moved to Sanova. He had a wife called Filipa Moniz, and two children called Diego and Fernando. His religion that he studied is Roman Catholic but also believed that he was part Jewish. He had many other names like Cristofor Colom. On 1492-1497 Queen Elisabella I and John II started the inquisition of the Jews
from Spain and Portugal. Christopher Columbus left with a boat for India to escape watching the horror in those two countries.
The trip on boat took longer than what he thought and reached the Americas, "the new world"
He settled there for a while and explored. He was forty one at the time.
He moved back to Europe, in Castille.
He died there in May 20th, 1506 at the age of fifty five.
His anniversary is on October 12 in spain, in USA its on the second Monday in October.

Titanic
The Titanic's company the White Star line built the largest ship at the time in Belfast star line. It was ordered the 31st of July, 1908, in Liverpool. It was laid down the 31st of May and launched the 31st of March. Its voyage started on the tenth of April, 1912. There was 2223 people on board including staff. On the 4th day of its voyage to USA the Titanic hit an iceberg in its path. Two hours and forty minuted later it sunk. It was split in too two parts, the larger part sank first. 1517
people died making it one of the deadliest sinking of a ship in history. Many men died in the women and children protocol which was followed. One of the many accidents that happened on the ship was that 1st class had the most priority of surviving, many 2nd and 3rd class passengers died. And that some of the lifeboats only had half of the people allowed to be on it.
The Titanic was 269.1 m long and 53.3 m in height.
