Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus was born somewhere around the year 1451, in Genoa, Italy.
To Domenico Colombo, and Susanna Fontanarossa. He had four brothers, and worked for a part of his childhood in a workshop. In 1470 him and his family moved to Sanova. He had a wife called Filipa Moniz, and two children called Diego and Fernando. His religion that he studied is Roman Catholic but also believed that he was part Jewish. He had many other names like Cristofor Colom. On 1492-1497 Queen Elisabella I and John II started the inquisition of the Jews
from Spain and Portugal. Christopher Columbus left with a boat for India to escape watching the horror in those two countries.
The trip on boat took longer than what he thought and reached the Americas, "the new world"
He settled there for a while and explored. He was forty one at the time.
He moved back to Europe, in Castille.
He died there in May 20th, 1506 at the age of fifty five.
His anniversary is on October 12 in spain, in USA its on the second Monday in October.
Thank you for your time
